The Itapeva Substation, operated by CTEEP, operates in the voltage classes of 138kV, 34.5kV and 13.8kV and is undergoing a process of modernization of the facilities, which includes the replacement of IEDs with the Siemens Siprotec 5 system in the protection system.

In collaboration with Siemens, CCESE carried out the following activities at the substation:

• Commissioning of the modernization of the Protection System.

• Carrying out Functional Tests on the new protection system with yard equipment.

• Protection Function Characteristics Tests

• Control Tests at Levels 0, 1, 2 and 3

• Validation of Control and Protection Logics and Interlocks

• Point Ascent Tests for SCADA.

• Startup and energization of IT2 C2 Transmission Line
